Took me a little while to get into it, but now that I am it's one of my favorites. The only disagreement I have with you is Donnovan as Westen as other people. He does some of them well, but his southern accent is <i>painful</i>. I don’t know that it’s the best show on television, but it really is a hidden gem. And yes, they do give Emmys for casting directors. Great show. I still can't get used to what appears to me to be an incongruety between the appearance of Michael Westen and the sound of Jeffrey Donovan's voice. They just don't seem to fit together. This is the only show on TV I watch religiously. The mix of humor and action is just about perfect. About his mom, it's interresting to see how they changed her character from the pilot.
